Jodhpur city in Rajasthan is known for its exquisite blue-painted houses. While exploring a bylane, I came across this house. I loved the intricate and ornamental carved wall and the architecture of the house and was inspired to paint it. The lady in red saree not only provides a good contrast to the blues in the scene but also gives a spot for the viewer to rest the eye. Besides, it seems to tell a story of the lady of the house returning home after an outing. This is an original watercolour piece painted on Arches Cold Press 300 gsm watercolour paper using artist-grade paints. Signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
