A pair of swallows nested in our out-building last summer, and when the babies left the nest they sat together on a roof beam preparing to take their first flight into the great outdoors. They looked very cute huddled together with their fluffy baby feathers.
In my painting I decided to place them outside on a branch with a pretty blue sky behind them.
