It is a relationship between two surfaces, a white rectangle and a gray strip which simulates the third dimension by two folds at each of its ends. Between these two surfaces, a tension is created, the strip pushing into an empty inset of the rectangle and whose two folds seem to be on either side of the flat surface creating a sensation of cavalier perspective.
