Oil on Mahogany panel. Nature presents us with an image of perfection evolved through vast landscape of time. The Avocado is an Aztec symbol of lust and fertility. Here we have Colour, texture and symbolism. I follow the traditional atelier methods of the old masters painting this simple fruit on an antique mahogany panel taken from an old piece of furniture. The colour of the fruits flesh is almost edible. Delicious! Natural Beauty. (The simple black frame is an integral part of the background panel and can not be changed.)
