This is an original painting of the forest in Kojori about a 40 minutes drive from Tbilisi. It was painted in October of 2017. My wife is a dedicated mushroom picker, and almost all the Saturdays of the second part of October and November are reserved for going to the nearby forests. I am absolutely fine with it since I love plein air, and the rapidly changing leaves' colors make it my preferred time as well. Watching the different shades of yellow, red, brown, green. Listening to the gentle sound of leaves falling down. Smelling the aromas of dead leaves on the ground and mushrooms. Then picnicking with crusty bread, goat cheese and some late tomatoes and drinking the strong coffee from the thermos. Tell me if there is a time better spent. Painted on a gallery wrapped canvas, the picture is already framed in a green frame, and it comes ready to hang. It is signed on the front with my initials in Georgian "Z" "Sh" (ზ.შ.).
