As the sun sets over the small island of Pabbay the wet sand runs with rivulets of the outgoing tide. Dark plum tones run through the sand and water creating a deep colour contrasted by a bright sky. Made on a gentle evening at a small beach on the Isle of Harris when the waves were gently swaying in on the sand with not a soul to be seen. The solitude and quiet beauty of this piece will remain a beautiful memory every time you look at it and walk away, a memory to treasure.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
