Original artwork description:

I was blessed with an abundance of sunflowers in September. I'm glad I am able to document their beauty in paint. For this still life I decided to take a different approach by creating a dramatic backlit scene. Since I already had flowers from my garden, adding one of my white pumpkins only seemed natural. This painting has high contrast and rich deep colors.
