Original artwork description:

A man sitting under a tree and reading a book or writing in it. The book and some leaves of the tree are painted deep red colour. The figure and the tree retain the natural shine of polished iron. The scene is contained within a rusty sheet metal frame. The background of the scene and the sides of the frame are painted a single solid dark grey colour with a satin finish.

In this series the artist creates a balance and an interaction between form and colour, between the characters and their setting. He uses colour as an accompaniment and not as an imposition, sometimes only as a background (and reflection) of the tiny characters and other times in elements that enter into direct interaction with the protagonists.
Use colour as a focus point in the work, something that captures attention at a first glance and invites to a more detailed observation.
