I must admit that Autumn is my favourite time of year - the cosyness of being indoors looking out at the wild weather, and the promise of a log fire to keep you warm. Often it's the best time to see a piece of countryside that you know well in a new light (quite literally) and so long as you are wrapped up against the elements there is no better way to spend the day than walking outdoors - especially when that is combined with a hot cup of tea and something scrumptious to eat when you come home, of course!
Here is my take on just such a walk - the light is subdued and you can feel the evening drawing in, but the vivid colours of the surroundings persuade you to walk on for just a little while longer.
Painted in acrylic on board, varnished for protection and to bring out the richness of the colours, this piece is sold unframed. If you would like me to, I can add a D hook to the back of the painting for no extra charge so it can be displayed as it is, or you may prefer to have it framed after you have decided that you would like it on your wall.
