Autumn Meadows is inspired by a beautiful warm afternoon walking in the fields near my home in late September - the perfect warmth of an Indian summer afternoon, the colours of summer still lurking in the fields and the suggestion of the coming sunset starting to illuminate the sky...

It was glorious to be surrounded by such calm beauty and I felt very privileged to be there and I couldn't get back to my studio quick enough to paint the feelings and the scene
