I painted this cityscape to the mood of the song "Waltz-Boston" by the Russian bard A. Rosenbaum.
This painting is my fantasy. As you can see, the girl dances barefoot in a light silk dress in autumn, when it is already very cool in Russia. Of course, this is not a living girl, but my idea of the beginning of autumn. The way the poet and composer described it.
I will cite a few lines in a free translation. Read if you're interested.
Autumn danced in the gateway waltz-boston.
A warm day flew away,
And the saxophone sang hoarsely.
I often have a fantastic dream
in which autumn waltz-boston dances for us
There leaves are falling,
The disc is spinning:
"Don't go, stay with me; you are my whim."
I like this song, and it awakens in me nostalgic memories of the youth of my beloved parents. I associated the song with its melody with the last century's fifties when I was just born.
The poet who wrote these lines lives in the city of St. Petersburg. Therefore the picture shows the old courtyard of this beautiful city.
I painted this picture with quick strokes in the style of modern impressionism.

The picture is painted on primed cardboard with oil paints.
If you liked the idea of the painting and the colour, but the dimensions do not suit you, write to me! I can repeat this picture for you in other sizes, larger. Of course, there may be inaccuracies in the details, but it certainly won't be worse.
