Original artwork description:
Autumn and winter a time of reflection and hibernation. Animals and plants retract, getting ready for the colder month. The landscape around us changes slowly into earthy colours with vibrant dots of rusty, red and ochre.
In this series of paintings I have tried to capture the essence of autumn and winter. Using oil paint with thinners and charcoal to create an 'watercolour' effect and letting the paint drip and run, mix and leaving hints of natural shapes in the landscape.
The paintings are painted on un-primed watercolour paper which gives the paint a translucent quality.
This painting is unframed and sent in a tube. If you don't see your country in the shipping list, please contact me and I will check if it is possible to send the painting to your country and I'll add it in the shipping rates.
