This pastel study of some of my five-a-day was in response to a challenge theme of "think Cezanne and Bonnard looking at your fruit (bowl)'.

I chose pastel again, as I like to work against the black paper with the bright autumnal colours of the apples. Rather than having the two apples in a bowl I put them into a handkerchief which had been used to give them a little polish.

I've created a collection "Covid Creativity - Art from Lock-down". The Art Challenge between a group of artists who got to know each other in and around Hereford. Setting challenges for each other, either based on an artistic style, medium or subject. Meeting virtually to share our results.

Image 20 x 20 cm (8 x 8") is completed in pastels on black cartridge paper. The drawing is in a white and black mount in a black frame 33 x 33 x 2.5 cm (13 x 13").
