An early morning exploration in the mist during the peak autumnal weekend enabled me to stumble upon this beautiful Beech tree. The colours and the atmosphere from the mist were just right for the feeling I wanted in this photograph.

Autumnal Beech trees at Stanage Plantation in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Optimum colours usually only last for one day in the year so you need to be there at the right time. This can only be achieved by visiting places regularly - lots of early starts, long drives and walking and exploring. A little manipulation has brought out the colours here to produce an almost magical fairytale feeling to the image.

Small and original editions are signed and numbered on the front by the artist. All larger editions are produced at a photo lab and are shipped directly so cannot be signed.

Rolled in a secure postal tube using Royal Mail tracked 48hrs (UK), overseas shipping is tracked and durations vary by country but typically within 5 days. Lost or damaged prints during shipping will be replaced.
