Original artwork description:

Edward Hopper stated: All I ever wanted to do was paint sunlight on the side of a house. Monet was trying to capture the feeling of light, the impression of a time of day on a landscape.

I totally understand their quest.

I walk past this house each morning and the sun is always dancing across its surface. The shape of the light and shadows change in the season and time of day. Some days, the house only receives a glancing blow.
In every season, the meadow and trees that surround the house provide a seasonal palette of colors. In this autumnal scene, the house glows in the early morning light set of by the rust colors of the trees and meadow.
