Do you see the dragon?? I didn't either until I decided to use the photo as the wallpaper on my computer. And, there it is- a blue, flying dragon coming out of the clouds on the right. It can also look like an angel! You'd expect no less from the Land of Enchantment skies, right?
I've added a detail photo below to make it easier to spot.
The skies--especially during the summer when the rains come--make it worth dealing with the heat, dryness and rattlesnakes. I made it my task this year to try to capture the changing and magnificent beauty of this time and share it with the rest of the world. This is the second painting of the series. I have no idea how many will be in this series before it "feels" completed. But, that's part of the enchantment, isn't it?
