I painted this plein-aire on a stellar august morning. It was one of those morning where the weather could not be more perfect! Some days in August do feel like the dog days.. but this one makes you understand the adjective meaning of the word "august".
This is the keepers house for the Marshall Point Lighthouse - one of the gems of mid-Coast Maine.
Painted on a linen panel, one of my favorite painting surfaces!
