Original artwork description:

I love making fully abstract paintings, and am inspired by my enviroment, colour and paint itself. In fact all the things that guide me in my more landscape oriented work. In this painting, both late afternoon/early evening light and rose petals and the shadows and leaves on the dog rose in my garden are the starting point - summer colours and textures too.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.

this 70x70cm painting is unframed. It had white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
