An oil painting from the Massif-Central mountains, France, around my studio.
In this hot summer afternoon mist and mountains merge in the distance. An unusual and majestic cloud dominates the scene, it has become the subject of my painting.

This landscape is painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight , the movement and the atmosphere.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
