Atlas was the mightiest of Titans that defied the gods! He was damned for eternity to be trapped between the heavens and the earth, forever held in his ethereal chains.
‘Atlas: Subdued’ is a sculpture inspired by this ancient tale. It is crafted from a naturally formed white quartz stone which is suspended in the air by a copper wire. This threads through a coiling copper design to create a hanging mobile.
The sculpture's unique structure hangs in the air with nature forever holding its heavenly form to the ground.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a hanging sculpture - it is heavy and needs to be hung securely in place. There is always a risk with hanging sculpture so please position it in an area where it will not be knocked or moved and MUST NOT be placed above anything.
