I used a lot of texture in this painting and let it crack as it dried. I then let different thin layers of paint run into the recesses. Gold leaf is finely worked into the raised areas and the surface of the water. Depending on the incidence of light, the abstract landscape shimmers in different colors and light reflections. At the same time, the seascape looks very magical and mysterious. For me, this evoked the association of the sunken Atlantis when I was painting.
The painting was exhibited in solo exhibitions in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe Konstmesse in Constance in 2024. It has a glazed shadow gap frame made of wood, which remains in the background due to the medium gray tone and the frame height and does not restrict the vastness of the landscape. Of course, you can also purchase the picture with a different frame color or without a frame at a lower price. In addition, the sides of the picture are painted so that it can also be hung without a frame. The picture is signed on the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the picture has a varnish coating with UV protection.
