Artwork description:

A couple are sitting on the edge of a swimming pool at a Lido. Others re swimming in the pool. It is a lovely sunny day.

This original Linocut print uses one piece of lino which is progressively cut and printed, called a Reduction Linocut.

The print uses selective wiping and other techniques to produce the particular result required. Thus the edition cannot ever be exactly reproduced.

Drusilla prints these linocuts in her studio in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, UK

Please note these are not digital prints and are made by hand individually. Any occasional inapt specks of ink are as a result of the process.

The artist retains all reproduction rights and copyright

This is a Reduction linocut, which uses one piece of lino progressively cut and printed, destroying the lino in the process. This means that the whole batch of prints must be printed at the start to determine the final number in the edition.

Materials used:

Lino printed on 250g Somerset Satin paper using linseed oil based inks
