One of my 'Poetic Floral' series of large-scale oil paintings, this piece depicts the Japanese Anemone flower. A beautiful little white flower that grows in our garden. I wanted to bring the vibrance of this little flower to life at a large scale. I found so many colours emerging from the white petals, and such a joyful energy to how the forms spread out from the centre.

The title refers to words written by the American poet William Carlos Williams - "it is at the edge of a petal that love waits". A beautiful sentiment that seemed to fit this piece.

The original painting is now sold, however the work is now available as a beautiful, limited edition giclee print. These prints are made using the giclee printing process to ensure wonderful brightness and intensity of colour. The paper is highest-quality Hahnemuhle German Etching paper, which has a lovely feel and wonderful matte finish. Each print is signed and numbered on the front.

The prints are sold unframed and will be sent to you rolled in a sturdy postal tube.
