Astronauts are known for reaching the stars and exploring deep space in search of something larger than Earth. They never intended to find aliens; it was always heaven. That is what they are risking their lives for: Heaven. Ironically, when they die, they can go to heaven. Astronauts have all the technologically advanced equipment required to travel in space, except for one thing: wings. The angel descends from heaven to prevent them from exploiting space as no man's land. Angel also keeps them from suicides in space due to a lack of oxygen, a meteorite collision, turning into ash by intense ultraviolet rays, or being marooned. They can exceed the speed of sound but cannot pass through the barriers. Only the deceased will be able to pass through the barriers. The ladder they are climbing has limits. Angels, not humans, are true astronauts.
This three-dimensional contemporary artwork incorporates architectural elements, and one of my signature motifs is the metallic figures, which typically stand straight up with their hands closed to their thighs and no faces visible. A hat or helmet is worn instead of a face to make it more interesting and mysterious to not know who they are or what they are up to. In various artworks, each hat and helmet serves a distinct purpose. The wardrobes are simple and uncluttered, allowing the hat or helmet to tell the story. The character is distinguished by his headgear rather than his clothing. Some of the characters are equipped with fashion accessories and/or weapons to complete the story. They incorporate some of my motifs, such as metallic angels, pilots, astronauts, deep-sea divers, firefighters, and surrealist figures.
