This piece is entitled "Assassinated by the sky" or "Asesinado por el cielo" in Spanish. The drawing was made with graphite and typewriter typing on paper. This work was inspired in the poem "Vuelta de Paseo" or "Return from a walk" which is part of the poetry book "Poet in New York" by the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. In the upper left side of the drawing I included a fragment of the first stanza of the poem which translated to English will read like this: "Assassinated by the sky, between forms moving towards the serpent and forms that seek the crystal, I will let my hair grow." The central theme of the poem is the subjugation of nature and the oppression of human beings in the big city. The Poet in New York book has been always a deep inspiration in my life and work.
This drawing is one of a kind artwork and was made in 2015 in Berlin Germany.
Signed and dated on the front and back. The drawing is framed and ready to hang.
