A plain air painting started earlier on plain air in the fall and was completed in the studio. Sunshine on yellow aspen trees in autumnal foliage. Impressionism. Impasto.
The master-quality material has been used. Heavy impasto builds with brushes and pallet knives. This technique allows for achieving a very interesting effect of simplicity, lightness, and air.
Edges of the painting are covered with archival white linen tape for a clean contemporary look. No need for framing. It is ready to hang. Signed on the back.
