These beautiful autumn aspen trees, with their gorgeous colors on display, were in view as my family hiked through Rocky Mountain National Forest in Estes Park, Colorado. In this colorful oil painting, I tried to capture on canvas some the feelings of joy and splendor I felt at the time. Aspens in Estes Park is one a series of six Aspen Tree Paintings I did in or around 2007/2008. All of the paintings have sold, one just a little over a year ago. This is the last one of the series and I hope it will find a good home. The gently worn frame works well with the colors in the painting.
