'Aspen,' is an oil painting that offers a unique glimpse into the intricate process of capturing nature's beauty. The leaves, painted with small brushstrokes in multiple layers of colors, reflect the nuanced play of sunlight—yellow, white, brown, red, and green.
The bark, initially perceived in black and white, reveals hidden hues of purple, blue, and yellow.
I used some expressive brushwork to dive into the abstract expressionism style, where the shapes, colors, and lines combined create the image.
This painting encapsulates the essence of the aspen tree, celebrated for its lightweight wood, historically used for shields by the Celts.
