Original artwork description:
As an architect, a building or a house is a very powerful symbol to me. For the last 35 years, I have moved and lived in many cities and different countries. With all of the places and homes I lived, each had memories I left behind.
I created this piece, which combines hand drawings and sculpture with a black box. While the pen and ink drawing represents a neighborhood and the paper sculpture houses represents the houses I lived in they are to represent my history and memories.
The box frame functions both as a frame but also as a memory box, one that can be picked up and taken anywhere I go.
Each drawing is 7.25"x10.25" mounted with acid free mat inserted inside the wood box frame., the frame is 9"x12"
