A little treasure, that's how you could describe this bright yellow root made from barberry wood. The hollowed out root tuber with all its wild inclusions shows its characteristic, completely natural yellow color and is only finely honed. It is neither painted nor stained. It was a challenge for me to wrest this form from him. A curved stainless steel base is processed in such a way that the root can be placed on it in various positions, the modeling clay in between allows this. The total weight is 394 grams, the wood alone weighs only 162 grams because it is thin-walled and completely dried. 16 cm long and approx. 8x10 cm. The roko logo (Roland Köpfer) is branded with a branding iron. Barberry wood is used in natural medicine and was used to dye silk, is difficult to obtain and therefore high in price.
