Original artwork description:

Around The Bend was influenced by an artwork I saw in a magazine consisting of a set of curved figures in different colours on a white background. I felt it would work well on a more complex background and I’d recently been experimenting with flicking paint onto the canvas using an old toothbrush which gave a matt stone-like effect, so I combined these. My final change to the original was to make the arcs a glossy finish to create a juxtaposition of very random, matt effect, background to very precise glossy foreground features.
