Original artwork description:

This is the portrait of a tough yet fragile old woman. It is based on a photograph by one of Mississippi's greatest artists. Being from Mississippi, I am a fan of the state's many writers and artists. Eudora Welty was both a writer and photographer. She won numerous awards for her novels, including a Putlitzer. Her photographs, also, won many awards and are reprinted in several books. They were mostly taken during the depression of the 1930's and show the effects of that time on the rich as well as the poor.

This painting is a one-of-a-kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint. I only sell original work so there will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is done on laminated architectural drafting mylar. It does not have to be stretched like canvas or watercolor paper and is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. You can see these instructions at the “me at work” section of my shop. I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.
