Original artwork description:

This is a piece of work I did some time ago and then recently reworked to include the rainbow bubbles. I had been contemplating it for a while in the studio and thought it would benefit from the explosion of colour. I love how lifting it is and think it is often how it feels when the sun is reflecting and refracting through the water. My process starts with taking the photographs I work from, I like to experiment with angles and light in the photographing. Every inch of the canvas has multiple layers on to build up the feeling of light, water and body, every layer focusing in on more detail until there is a balance of tight detail and watery fluidity. Every summer I do a number of photo shoots and then spend the rest of the year exploring them from different angles. As this is a rework I am offering it at a special price.
