Oil painting of the view of the City in London from the back of the Barbican late on a November night. I worked on several drawings from a bridge near the Museum of London. I loved the way the people in the lonely office were as visible as animals in a zoo and that they were all so absorbed in what they were doing that they didn't notice they were lit and frozen in time and space. it spoke to me of the loneliness of the city at night, but also that it never sleeps.
The painting is framed with a light beechwood frame, which completes the work beautifully. It's a stunning painting and looks great in a contemporary setting.
