Insight:
A throwback to the wonderful adventure in June 2024. The first time I saw humpback whales and so many! A sight I will never forget. This painting captures a beautiful moment right next to the Kildin island in the Barents sea. We were surrounded by humpbacks in the fog. It was so quiet. Only cries of seagulls and sounds of whale fountains. I wanted to capture this very feeling of stillness and sort of ephemerality. A feeling of a dream come true.
