Artwork description:

My continued fascination and awe of the Palm House and Kew Gardens in general keeps returning as subject matter in my work. I never seem satisfied that I've captured the most beautiful section of the gardens or that I might've missed another eye catching angle of the Palm house structure and this pushes me to keep creating ever more prints of the gardens.
This is the second of my linocuts focusing on the doorway inside the Palm House. The multitude of plants framing the arched doorway but also the shadows dancing on the ground.
I have spent some time concentrating on the many different types of plants and their shapes when cutting this particular Linocut which gives it quite an illustrative feel to the overall image.
This is a two block Linocut print.

There is some creasing and faint smudging around the margins of the image, these can be easily hidden with good framing.
Due to the nature of handmade linocuts no two prints are the same, for this reason you will be receiving a unique piece of art.

Printed on 100% cotton Somerset satin paper and oil based inks
Dimensions 42 x 56 cm (unframed) / 31 x 41 cm (actual image size)

Materials used:

Somerset satin 250gsm oil based inks
