The archangel Michael was a warrior, a general and his greatest victory was that of having defeated and expelled his brother Lucifer. Lucifer together with Michael was at the head of the angelic hosts, he was in fact a general too. That was until he refused to bow down to humans as God had ordered. It was precisely this that prompted him to rebel against God along with other angels who agreed with him. Michael decided not to ally himself with Lucifer, his brother. , and to remain faithful to God. Michael was one of the bravest angels who fought against the devil.
