How many of you, as children, have had fun letting round slices of orange dry up to then put them on the Christmas tree? I certainly have!
The dry orange is surely a very popular christmassy flavor. It is more than just an ingredient, it's a fragrance that makes the festive atmosphere even warmer.
What I find fascinating the most about this natural element, other than the intense colored shades, ranging from purple to red and even transparent golden yellow, is the vitreous effect of the dried pulp, that almost looks like the result of a magic spell.
I had a lot of fun drawing it, it felt like portraying the glass windows of an ancient cathedral.
