Original artwork description:

Aqua_211 is an abstract drawing combing ink and fineliners. Inspired by satellite imagery, it contrasts organic, flowing shapes depicting water with strong linework. The latter depicts the influence of humans on natural landscapes. The organic shapes on closer inspection show a large amount of detail, not unsimilar to taking a closer look at nature itself. As such, the artwork can be perceived at different levels of detail - further away, the observer can perceive the overall composition with more abstract shapes, up close the details take over the observation.

Materials used:

ink and fineliner
