Spontaneous works on paper, instinctive and raw, exploring the theme of water. In these works Katja Wittmer uses various textures, colour themes and patterns in an intuitive way, being entirely led by her subconscious. This work is 17 x 12 cm, painted on museum quality acrylic paper. Mounted and framed. Mat cut out size 16x11cm, framed in a 27x22cm standard black frame with glass.

In her mixed media works, Katja Wittmer creates colour compositions that invite to curiously explore beyond what is apparent at first glance. Playing with form, texture and abstraction, Katja Wittmer develops the wonderful complexity of colour -in an interplay that extends through several layers, she achieves a unique and highly individual compositional power, creating her own unmistakable style of abstract modern art.
