Do you find yourself drawn to trees and wanting to give them a hug, I do. drawn Did you know in many cultures or religions, they are seen as sacred or symbolic. Not only do they play a crucial role in our environment, often referred to as the lungs of our planet they provide, shade and shelter. They are a visual reminder of the passing of time and the cycle of life, from the colourful, seasonal shed of leaves in the Autumn to their blossoming branches in the spring, I love to paint them.

This spring, the cherry blossoms in the local village were so glorious and inspired this piece. Painted in hues of greys I have tried to capture the beautiful light as it filtered through the petals on that sunny day. Would look wonderful in a bedroom area or lounge bring a touch of nature and calm ambience to your space.
