Landscape of Auvergne, in the very heart of France.
A view from my studio windows.
I liked the contrast between the glowing hill at sunset and blue mountains in the background.

This landscape is painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight, the movement clouds and the atmosphere.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
