Landscape of Auvergne, in the very heart of France.

On the side of a hill, sheltered from winds, one of the few scattered farms through the highlands around the Mézenc Mount.
This landscape is painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brush strokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight , the movement and the atmosphere.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself, my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
