Original artwork description:

I found this structure in an alley and was excited by its lines. The building was very weathered, and in interpreting it I gave it a face lift. I love that pink peachy color juxtaposed with red and an intense almost turquoise sky. So, I also gave it a whimsical address.

Much later I knocked on the door, spoke to the owner about my picture and was invited inside. It's actually an apartment above a garage. I took lots of photos, but I don't think the interior inspires me as the exterior does. Still, it was a wonderful experience - being both inside and out - which I've only had one other time. (See Sage Avenue.)

Oil paint on hardboard
