I love to paint still life in a way which hints at an underlying story but it is left to the viewer to decide for themselves what that may be. In this composition the vase belonged to my mother. There is a hint of memories past, but the use of a palette knife to introduce delicate texture and lines give it a contemporary, oriental feel.

This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.

The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.

I ship internationally using an insured, tracked and signed for service. Please note that payment of import duty/tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
