Still life apple #18 was painted alla prima from life using palette knifes with some additional brush work. This gives the painting a unique texture as well as an impressionist look.
The magenta acts as a complimentary colour to the beautiful greens of the apple.
Painted in an impressionist style, perfect for the home or as a gift.
The objective with this series is to create a still life where there's an energy and liveliness to the subject.
The painting will fit in any frame designed for an 6 x 8 inch (15 x 20 cm) as seen in the display photos. Taken with the glass out the 3 mm sealed MDF board is a perfect fit.
