My personal monochromatic study in pure Watercolor 15 h x 11 w ( 38x29 cm) of the marble statue group by the Italian Baroque Master G. L. Bernini : It Depicts the magnificient sculpture Apollo and Dapne. My rendition was focused on the theatricality reactions and gesture of Daphne and Apollo simultaneously, and in particular the dynamic representation of the nymph's hair transformation as branches of laurel. This piece is on 300 gsm watercolor paper with deckled edges and a white border; Made in Studio 2019; on paper watercolor, Saunders Waterford 300 gsm rough.
