We may fight these situations and try our best to have our voice heard, but no matter the effort, we get crushed and pushed aside. With the incoming elections, I feel that this is even more relevant. Whether it be by greed or by choice, many do not have their voice heard. Money is usually associated with power, and our opinions and voices , unfortunately, have a price for purchase. The gold hand in this oil painting is used to objectify that mysterious hand of power, while the little girl is a symbol innocence and powerlessness.
