If, like me, you spend any time at all scanning art related posts on social media you will encounter artists using hairbrushes, toothbrushes, electric toothbrushes, floorbrushes, sponges, pan scrubbers, clingfilm, tinfoil, rags, leaves, steel wool, branches, flowers, marbles, footballs, bicycles, hoops, gravity, pendulums, rollers, aerosols, spray cans, string, masking tape, bubblewrap, fingers, hands, feet, breasts, dogs, cats, windscreen scrapers, rulers, wood, foamboard, cups, saucers, forks, garlic crushers, electric fans, hairdryers and, occasionally, paintbrushes, to transfer paint onto a bit of canvas/paper in an effort to make it look interesting. Only one of these techniques was used in the production of this painting. (But no dogs or cats were harmed in the making of this picture).
