Artwork description:

This image is a drawing inspired by looking at a large rock collected from Watchet. The drawing records how my mind was reading the still life object, observing the various shapes and forms that would appear through the moving light and shadow, highlighting aspects of the rock and how my mind was reading it.

The image appears to reveal forms, faces and figures as one looks upon the image - so I have called this image 'Anthropomorphism'. It highlights the way our mind's seek to find the familiar within the unfamiliar, gifted by evolution, as we decern what it is we are actually seeing and whether what we see is a friend or foe.

[Framed in white mount with backing board and protected by a sealed polybag pocket].
